User Coordinate System is the representation of three universal axes - X, Y, Z axes. In AutoCAD, by default you are in top view and that is your XY plane. You cannot draw in any other plane other than XY plane. So, while working in AutoCAD 3D, you need to change, move, align, etc. your UCS.
Here, you are going to learn about the visibility of UCS Icon. To do so, you can use UCSIcon command or else you can use coordinates panel within the home tab to initiate various options available within the UCSIcon command.
First of all, select 3D modeling workspace from the gear icon on the status bar. If that gear icon is not available in the status bar, go to customization button at the extreme right end of the status bar and select workspace. Then your gear icon will appear in the status bar.
By default, your UCS is set to WCS(World Coordinate System) whose origin is set to 0,0,0. This is indicated by the WCS written just below the Viewcube tool. Whenever you change, move, align, etc. your UCS, it changes to 'Unnamed'.
